Start the automotive RFQ with the actual joint

Repeatable geometry

Define functional shoulders, bearing faces, threads and drive requirements with the mating component.

Material and surface condition

Connect final properties, finish, friction and corrosion requirements in one approved specification.

Sample and lot documentation

Agree revision control, sample approval, inspection records, lot labels and packaging before production.

Relevant fastener structures

Material options to review

Manufacturing and acceptance

Send the component drawing, interface requirements, expected batch quantities and order-specific quality documents. ZUFEK’s automotive experience includes component supply-chain projects associated with Mercedes-Benz and BMW vehicle applications.

Examples describe application requirements. Material suitability, production scope and verification are confirmed against the approved drawing.

Start the automotive RFQ with the actual joint

An enclosure cover, a painted bracket and a locating interface impose different requirements. Use the rows below to prepare a component-level discussion; they are design-review examples, not evidence of a delivered or OEM-approved project.

ApplicationWhat to specifyWhat to check
Serviceable module coverOpening sequence, tool access, usable engagement and any captive-retention requirement.Check removal and reassembly with the representative cover, not only the tightened screw.
Painted bracketBearing-face envelope, coating contact, permissible marking and specified tightening conditions.Evaluate seating and coating damage; use the agreed assembly method for any functional trial.
Locating shoulderMating bore, datum relationship, axial stack and final coated dimensions.Record dimensional acceptance separately from clamp or motion validation.

Before sample release, agree the drawing revision, required submission documents, lot identification and change-approval responsibilities. If the programme requires PPAP, material records or special testing, identify the exact deliverables during quotation rather than assuming that an automotive label includes them.

Review the illustrative module enclosure study

Tooling and sampling typically take approximately 10–15 days after technical review and confirmation. Confirm the starting milestone, sample acceptance and repeat-production schedule in the quotation.
