Access and retention
Define service access, tamper-resistant drives and the intended retaining arrangement.

Custom fastening and connection geometries for equipment housings, brackets, routing features and electrical interface components.

Define service access, tamper-resistant drives and the intended retaining arrangement.
Specify outdoor exposure, mating metals, finish and the actual acceptance requirements.
Identify conductive interfaces, cable clearance or bore-edge requirements separately from mechanical strength.
The screw that closes a service panel is not the same specification as a cable passage or a conductive connection. Identify the actual interface before choosing material and finish.
| Assembly function | Specify with the mating parts | Acceptance and next review |
|---|---|---|
| Retain a service cover | Define cover thickness, drive access, retaining arrangement and exposure. Identify the released position as well as the tightened position. Captive Screws | Review opening, retention and re-engagement with the service tool. Agree coating and any enclosure-level checks for the complete assembly. Cleaning, Locking & Assembly |
| Route a cable through a part | Show the cable envelope, bore path, entry edges and nearby constraints. Distinguish mechanical clearance from any insulation requirement. Hollow & Through-Hole Screws | Inspect the passage and internal edges before access is lost. Trial the intended routing; a bore diameter alone does not establish cable protection. Secondary & Precision Operations |
| Clamp a conductive connection | Identify the current path, contact materials, finish and clamped stack. State whether the threaded component conducts or only supplies clamping. Custom Double-Ended Studs | Agree assembly conditions and the required electrical and thermal acceptance for the joint. Material conductivity alone is not a connection rating. Coatings & Surface Treatments |
Compare the proposed base material, coating and contact surfaces with the approved joint. Identify changes to seating, thread fit and the assembly procedure before deciding which joint checks to repeat. Preserve the contact-stack and revision information in the record. A screw-level material certificate cannot replace electrical-connection testing or equipment approval.
Design-review examples, not customer delivery records. Select the actual limits and checks for the ordered assembly.
Read the charging-enclosure interface discussionFor an enclosure fastener, provide the housing section, drive access and finish requirement. For a conductive component, include the contact material and electrical acceptance as well.
Examples describe application requirements. Material suitability, production scope and verification are confirmed against the approved drawing.
Review these related topics for this design or route. Grade, treatment, geometry and acceptance remain drawing-specific.
Match the flange bearing face to the actual supporting surface. Compare the contact footprint, finish and grip length before replacing a separate washer.
ENGINEERING GUIDESpecify the complete bore, minimum remaining wall, internal edges and acceptance method. Use thread-root geometry and bore offset in the section review.
